"Some Bunny Loves You" using FMS #175

We'll our home is decorated for Spring/Easter, but it's snowing here in our neck of the woods.  We're looking at 4-6 inches.  Guess Mother Nature wasn't listening to me! :)  Anyway, in keeping with the Spring theme of our home, here's a card I made using Freshly Made Sketches #175.
I'm really enjoying these sketches as it gives me a chance to try something different.  I started with a cute, pale green patterned paper for the background.  I popped the coral paper on top of that and added a green seam binding bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The adorable Mason Jar is from Two Paper Divas as well as the two scalloped trims on the jar.  The bunny and sentiment are also from Two Paper Divas stamp set "Some Bunny."
Here's the sketch I got my inspiration from:

"Life is Good" Mojo Monday Sketch 386

It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch!  I'm really getting into this!  Check out the card I made this week.
I love that this card is a skinny card...kinda fun to change it up a bit!  I started with several patterned papers using yellows and teals.  From there, I used a stamp set from Two Paper Divas called Simple Phrases.  I chose to use the saying "Life is Good."  I then added a felt flower and there you have it!

Thanks for checking out my blog, Kirby's Kards!  Comments are always welcome!

"Be You" Mojo #385

I must be really ready for Spring because the papers I chose for this card include flowers and bright colors.  I love this color combo of coral/salmon and teals.
This card was fun to create with all the layers.  I chose to pop some of the layers for a more 3-D look. Check out the sketch from Mojo Monday:

Homemade Birthday Wishes using Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #174

Make sure you check out my latest creation using Freshly Made Sketches #174 as my inspiration this week!
I started with a retro turquoise paper and topped it with a red and cream print.  It reminded me of a tablecloth and I thought it would be perfect with the vintage mixer.  The "Homemade Birthday Wishes" sentiment as well as the mixer come from Two Paper Divas Just Poppin' By stamp set.  To finish this card, I added two sizes of pearls to the four corners.  Here's the sketch:
A simple, yet o so cute birthday card!  Thanks for taking a minute to stop by Kirby's Kards!

Lucky Me

I'm changing it up this week and sharing a Goodie Bag I made using a tutorial from Two Paper Divas.  You can purchase it Here.
I started with a couple St. Patty's Day papers and followed the directions for making the bag.  Yes, I followed them step by step! :)  The nice thing about using patterned papers is there's usually a fun print on the back as well.  That really adds to the inside of your bag.  I used a plaid print for the rows of scallops at the top.  I attached two magnets to the bag so that it could be opened and closed easily.  To finish the top off, I used some ribbon, twine and a button to make a cute little bow.
The hat and sentiment are from Two Paper Divas stamp set called Lucky Me.  Isn't this a cute project?  I thought it would be fun to give to someone at work, school or that person who has done a favor for you and you want them to know how lucky you feel to have them in your life.  I filled my Goodie Bag up with two shades of green Jelly Beans.
Hope you have been inspired to make a sweet Goodie Bag for that special someone!

So Sweet

Time for another sketch, this one is from Verve's MoJo Monday #384.  Check it out!

I wanted to used one of the new stamp sets from Two Paper Divas.  This one is called Mason Jar Accessories #4.  It includes several different cookies to put into a mason jar and a few sentiments to go along with them.  I chose the heart shaped cookies and added the sprinkles to a few of them.  On the other cookies, I stamped a smaller heart in the center and added a pearl to those.  The cream twine bow has a mini tag attached that says "Sweet!" and it's from the same stamp set as well.

Thanks for popping by Kirby's Kards to check out my latest card!

Make it a great day!

For You

I'm guessing that you are like me in the fact that you find yourself making several birthday cards to send to family and friends.  I'm always excited to find a new stamp set to use for just that!  Today, I'm sharing a card I made using one of the brand new stamps from Two Paper Divas"It's Your Day."  I just love the petite flowers in this set...super sweet!
I decided to use a color combo of golden yellow, teal blue and cream.  I started with a fun polka dot print for the background and used a stitched die around the edge.  Topping that are a couple patterned papers, one is a chevron print and the other is a tiny floral pattern.  I made a cream bow and added gold twine and a yellow flower.  The flower stamp in the center is colored with copics and popped to stand out.  Here's a close up view.  Check out the shimmer on the flower petals, it's Wink of Stella.
Finally, a card isn't complete without a little something special inside.  The saying is from the same stamp set by Two Paper Divas.
And there you have it, this card is ready to go!

Hope you found a little spring inspiration here!

Luck of the Irish

Well, I'm venturing out and trying something new this week!  Today I'm attempting Sketch #214 from My Favorite Things.  They have a new sketch that comes out each week.

All of my stamps are from Two Paper Divas Lucky Me stamp set.  You can click Here to check out their website.  I started with a cute St. Patty's Day plaid paper for the background, which I used a stitched die from My Favorite Things around the edge.  To follow the sketch, I used a pierced circle die from My Favorite Things on a shamrock paper, cut it in half and popped the hat on top of that.  The hat stamp is from Two Paper Divas.  I used Wink of Stella on the little shamrock to add some glitz.  The saying, "It's Your Lucky Day!" is from this same stamp set from Two Paper Divas.  I added a die cut shamrock and a couple cream dots and there you have it!

Thanks for checking out my card, made from Sketch #214!

Make it a great day!

Sending Lots of Love Your Way

I'm wrapping up the last minute details on my Valentine cards and tags and wanted to share a couple with you!
Several of our relatives are dog lovers, so I decided to use a fun dog printable on this tag. I used a couple patterned papers for the background and topped them with white pompom ribbon.  The "Hugs and Kisses" stamp is from Two Paper Divas Banners #4 set and the heart that reads "Be Mine" is from their Candy Heart set.  I just cut the heart out and attached it to silver twine and a red and white gingham bow.  Four red hearts with pearls finish this tag off...ready to send to that special someone!

Here's a totally different look for a Valentine card.  I began with this adorable paper with love phrases and popped kraft paper on top of it.  From there, I popped a light pink paper and used some Valentine papers to make different sized hearts.  Check out the mini 3-D love conversation heart...isn't it sweet??!!
I crimped a scalloped edged triangle of kraft paper and added it to the right corner with a cream twine bow and mini clothespin.  The "Happy Heart Day" phrase and pink heart are both stamps from Two Paper Divas.  They are from stamp set Mason Jar Accessories #2.

Hope your Valentine's Day is extra special and that you get to spend time with your sweetie!  I'm blessed to have such an amazing husband that loves me!  And, two silly dogs that like to give me kisses!

Make sure you check out Two Paper Divas on Thursday, February 5th as they are releasing some new stamps and believe me you will NOT want to miss out on these!  I can't wait!

Make it a great day!
