Well, if you're like me, you still have some presents to get wrapped. So, I decided to make a sweet little tag for one of those gifts. Check it out!
I started by using the
Pine Branch stamp set from Two Paper Divas. It includes both the pine branch and a pine cone. I used one of their digital sentiments from
Holiday Sentiments and made it a little bigger to make it the focal point of the tag. I added some green twine, rustic jingle bells and roughed up the edges too. To finish it off, I splattered some brown ink on the tag. Too fun!
I am so excited to share a project that I made with a couple of card making friends!
We each started with the same rustic, metal piece, but each of our designs are different, which makes it oh so fun! This has definitely become one of my new favorite decorations for the Christmas season. Here are some close ups so you can see all the details.
I started with a cute brown and cream polka dot paper for the background. Would you expect anything but polka dots from me? LOL :o) I added a bingo card, a little ticket, a paper that had a 25 on it and the sweet snowman with children printable. I used some glitter on the kids and snowman to add some sparkle, since the little lantern would light that area up. The lantern is from Tim Holtz and has a battery pack that I hot glued to the back of the metal shadowbox. Pretty sweet, huh? I added the white picket fence with glitter and tucked a few trees (which I also glittered) as well as some little presents that I tied with twine behind the fence.
I added some greenery and candy canes with a little Merry Christmas token with twine to the front of the fence. In front of the fence I put a worn December calendar. To top off the box on top, I made a medallion and added a star, snowflake and the
Frosty Fun saying from Two Paper Divas. Isn't it just so fitting with the kids and snowman? Love it! I then added a little metal plaque that says Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow to the top center.
I just love this bottom area too. It has a couple trees, some vials of snowflakes and this little twig with bells. To it I added a couple bows, a little Deck the Halls charm and these Tim Holtz mini skates.
This project was an absolute blast to make with Melissa and Cyndy! Thanks girls! I sure hope you have enjoyed my new Christmas project for 2014. It's a great addition to our home. Thanks for stopping by Kirby's Kards for some holiday inspiration!
Make it a great day!
