Hoppin' on over

It's crazy to believe that this Sunday is already Palm Sunday!  Where has the time gone?  Clearly waaaaaay too fast for me!  Time to get cranking on those Easter cards.  Check out one that I made this week featuring several stamps from Two Paper Divas.
I wanted to use their fence stamp along with the sweet Easter bunny stamp, so I did just that!  I stamped the fence on a brown polka dot paper and cut it out.  To finish the fence off, I added a little chick sitting on top along with the "Some Bunny Loves You" saying.  The bunny and carrots are also from the same set called "Some Bunny."  Check out a close up of the bunny, I used Wink of Stella on the ears and bow.
Here's a picture of the sun (from the "You Are My Sunshine" set), which I stamped on patterned paper and cut out.  It is topped with a button and a twine bow to finish it off!

May you have a blessed Palm Sunday with your family.

Thanks for hoppin' on over to Kirby's Kards today!  I love hearing from you, so leave a comment if you can.  Make it a great day!

Pansies

You know it's Spring when you start to see the beautiful pansies everywhere!  I love these bright, petite, delicate flowers.
I had the opportunity to go with Melissa and Gayla, my friends from Two Paper Divas, to a trunk show they were having at Scrapbook-N-Memories in Harrisonville, MO.  They had all of their stamp sets, along with samples using their stamps for the customers to check out.  It was very successful and one of the stamp sets that was extremely popular was Seed Packet Flowers #2.  It includes four different flower arrangements and I decided to share a card I made using that set.  Check it out:
The color combination for this card is yellow, teal and green.  After I decided that, I picked out a couple of patterned papers for the background.  I used a scalloped border punch for the bottom of the yellow paper.  The white circle is a punched die cut surrounded by a scalloped circle die cut.  I added cream twine, green seam binding for the bow and a cute paper flower on top of the bow.  The "Beautiful Wishes for a Beautiful Day" sentiment is from Two Paper Divas, Happy Mother's Day set.  I wanted to give you a close up of the pansies because I used a yellow Wink of Stella pin and a teal Copic marker.  I topped the teal flowers with a gold Wink of Stella pin to give them the same shimmer.  Doesn't that glitz add so much to the card??!!

Springtime Flowers

Yeah!!!  Spring is definitely in the air!  We're excited for that at my house!  My husband and I really love working out in the yard planting flowers...and we're looking forward to many more days like this!  Speaking of Springtime and flowers, check out this oh so fun card I made using one of the latest stamp sets from Two Paper Divas.  It's called "Sweet Blossom" and it has become one of my very favorites!
I wanted to make a long, skinny card this time.  To start off with, I roughed up the edges on all the papers (of course I did this, it's kind of my thing #obsessedwithroughedupedges).  The top half of the card has a blue/green paper for the background and some cream cardstock on top of that.  I stamped the flowers on several different patterned papers and cut them out.  I wanted to put one of the flowers in a flowerpot for a little height.  The pot comes from another stamp set, also from Two Paper Divas, called "Seeds of Hope."  The bottom half of the card has a fun patterned paper that is topped with a double layer of cream lace, some rust twine and a little flower.  You could put someone's name on the flower and have such a cute card!  Here's a closer look at the flowers:
Do you see the little dots on the centers and the extra lines on the petals?  Love all this detail!

Hope you have enjoyed my fresh Springtime card!  Don't forget to check out Two Paper Divas latest stamp release...they have really outdone themselves!

Make it a great day!

St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Today we are showcasing one of the stamp sets from Two Paper Divas called, "Lucky Me!"  The Divas have created a bunch of one-of-a-kind creations using this stamp set, so make sure you go to their website to check them out too.  For those of you feeling kind of lucky you can sign up to win the "Lucky Me" stamp set and you can print off the free hat template that I used below.  You won't want to miss out on all the fun!  Here's a card I made just for this occasion, check it out!
I began using the hat template, cutting out some green patterned paper.  I added two ribbons and topped them with a die cut star with mini shamrocks, a little Irish tag and one of Two Paper Divas Special Friend tickets which is available from the stamp set "Tickets."  The hat is finished off with a metal oval plate which has the date "17."

Okay, that's it for the front of this hat card, now for the inside:
I traced the hat pattern twice more for the inside of the card.  I wanted to use a different coordinating paper and found this cute stripe pattern.  The little notepad die cut works great for a handwritten note to someone.  I stamped three more things from the same "Lucky Me" stamp set from Two Paper Divas.  The Irish Blessings sentiment, mini shamrock and the hat (Did I have to glitter the shamrock? Of course I did!  Everything's better with glitter!)

Thanks for stopping by Kirby's Kards today for some St. Patty's day fun!  Make sure you stop by Two Paper Divas to get signed up for all their awesome Irish projects!

Make it a great day!

Hippity Hoppity

Who doesn't love a cute, little, furry bunny?  I especially like their floppy ears!  Check out this sweet Easter card I made using "Bunny Love" from my friends at Two Paper Divas.
I love that this row of bunnies is kind of abstract, looks vintage!  I layered a few papers and added a scalloped trim to this card.  I used a couple solid colors to bring in the pinks and yellows.  Of course, I couldn't resist using a little polka dot paper on this card as well.  The green seam binding bow, cream button and twine finish this sweet Easter card.
Thanks for taking a minute out of your day to check out Kirby's Kards!  I really appreciate it!  Be sure to stop by my blog next week for some St. Patty's Day inspiration!

Make it a great day!

You're a Handy Guy

OMG!  I'm super excited to share with you a card I made for Two Paper Divas March Stamp Release, which is today!  This card is ALL about the men in our lives!  Man cards are pretty difficult for me to create because you can't put all those bows, pearls and flowers on them like I'm used to!  So, I'm happy to see some stamps for those special guys.  Check out my creation featuring the new set "You are a Handy Guy."
I decided to rough up the edges on everything on this card to give it a more masculine feel.  I wanted to incorporate a tape measure, so I used a paper I had with multiple measurements.  The tool box was stamped on kraft paper and cut out.  I added a little metal brad on the right side of the box.  The hand saw, hammer, wrench, gloves and nails were also stamped and cut out.  There are several neat sentiments with this stamp set and I chose to use "To a dad who can "fix" anything!"

Be sure to stop by Two Paper Divas to check out all their latest stamp sets.  And, there's more to come tomorrow!  Don't miss out!

Make it a great day!

It's Your Lucky Day!

Well, we're less than two weeks from St. Patty's Day so I decided to share a fun card I made just for that occasion.
I started with a big polka dot print for my background paper (love those polka dots) and used a stitched die cut around the edge.  I then added a paper doily and topped it with two kraft paper stars.  The adorable Mason Jar is from my friends at Two Paper Divas.  It's my favorite in case you haven't figured me out yet!:)  The green plaid scallops on the jar are from the Mason Jar Accessories set from Two Paper Divas as well.  The little shamrocks are made from felt that I ran through my Big Shot.  Don't forget to go to Two Paper Divas website and pick up the Lucky Me stamp set.   I used the "It's Your Lucky Day" sentiment from that stamp set and cut the words apart and popped them for a different look.

Sure hope you enjoyed my card for St. Patrick's Day!  Thanks for stopping by Kirby's Kards!

Make it a great day!
